
Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 1.98%
Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 1.98% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p), which rose 3.31% or 420.00 points to trade at 13,120.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Celsia SA (BVC:CEL) added 3.04% or 170.00 points to end at 5,770.00 and Banco Davivienda Pf (BVC:DVI_p) was up 3.03% or 740.00 points to 25,200.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC:GAA_p), which fell 2.59% or 21.00 points to trade at 789.00 at the close. Interconnection Electric SA ESP (BVC:ISA) declined 1.71% or 500.00 points to end at 28,700.00 and Bancolombia Pf (BVC:BIC_p1) was down 0.62% or 420.00 points to 67,460.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 1 to 0.
Shares in Celsia SA (BVC:CEL) rose to 5-year highs; up 3.04% or 170.00 to 5,770.00.
US coffee C for May delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $300.10 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 1.35% or 45.00 to hit $3,372.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 21.05 to trade at $4,766.35 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was unchanged 0.00% to 3,598.40, while BRL/COP unchanged 0.00% to 720.11.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 98.20.
